From now on, I will write most of my blogs about my books and one about teaching English. Today, I will start with my first book, which is Nuestra Historia Americana (The American Dream).
I started writing this book because I wanted our journey to stay alive and remain until the very end, documented so that it doesn't get carried away by the wind. It is a legacy for my family and a way to keep my stories captured forever.
Let’s be honest: platforms like KDP are costly and ineffective on their own, and just having books listed there is not enough. The true value lies in human contact—like seeing your books physically in two bookstores in Uruguay—and genuinely connecting with your readers.
I want to sell books, of course, but it goes beyond that. I would appreciate it if you buy this and my other books, available in both English and Spanish on Amazon under Daniel Alberto Barrantes. I want to sell my books one customer, one reader at a time.

A partir de ahora, escribiré la mayoría de mis blogs sobre mis libros y uno sobre la enseñanza del inglés. Hoy empezaré con mi primer libro, Nuestra Historia Americana (The American Dream).
Empecé a escribir este libro porque quería que nuestra travesía siguiera viva y permaneciera hasta el final, documentada para que el viento no se la lleve. Es un legado para mi familia y una forma de mantener mis historias plasmadas para siempre.
Seamos honestos: las plataformas como KDP son costosas y poco efectivas por sí solas, y simplemente tener los libros ahí no basta. El verdadero valor está en el contacto humano —como ver tus libros físicamente en dos librerías de Uruguay— y en conectar de verdad con quien te lee.
